Kamran Tasharofi, MD, is an internal medicine physician and civil surgeon who has been in practice since 2000, when he graduated from Ross University School of Medicine. He received his undergraduate degree from California State University of Northridge.

On staff at Trinitas Regional Medical Center in Elizabeth and Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in Rahway, Dr. Tasharofi has served the Union County area in a variety of practice settings, from Central Jersey Health Care Associates in Elizabeth and Caring Hospice in Edison to his present positions as Medical Director at Union County Healthcare Associates (in six locations) and Grace Healthcare Services in Edison. He is also the Medical Director at Ascend Hospice, Alaris at Riverton, and Alaris at Care Connections (RWJ Rahway).

Currently, Dr. Tasharofi is also a cardiovascular speaker for Novartis Pharmaceutical on topics including hypertension, osteoporosis and dementia and Ortho Biotech Pharmaceutical on the subject of CKD, or chronic kidney disease. He is also a speaker for Forest Pharmaceuticals on the topic of hypertension. Dr. Tasharofi also is a speaker for Novartis on the topic the use of Reclast infusion therapy for the treatment of osteoporosis.

Dr. Tasharofi has authored several medical publications and participated in several clinical research efforts. Dr. Tasharofi completed his medical residency via Seton Hall University’s Internal Medicine Program, where he was an Associate Chief Resident at both Trinitas Regional Medical Center and St. Michael’s Medical Center in Newark.

Dr. Tasharofi is a member of the American College of Physicians and the American Medical Association.

He is fluent in English and Farsi.
