Soniya Herapara is a dedicated healthcare professional with a strong foundation in nursing and advanced practice. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from William Paterson University in May 2010, followed by a Master of Science in Nursing in August 2017. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners in Adult and Geriatric care. She is well-versed in the management of acute episodic and chronic clinical conditions and has experience in sub-acute care and outpatient settings.
Before transitioning to a nurse practitioner role, Soniya worked as a registered nurse in hospital settings, including Saint Clare’s Hospital in Denville, NJ, and Jersey City Medical Center in Jersey City, NJ. During this time, she developed a profound aspiration to engage directly with patients, forging personal connections, and positively impacting their lives. She says, “Now, as a Nurse Practitioner, I am able to educate and motivate patients to stay actively involved in their health.” She adds, “Education, paired with a holistic approach, empathy, and compassion, is perfect for a successful patient-provider relationship which leads to improved health outcomes.”
